EXAMINATION OF QUALITY OF SERVICE OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN THE MODERN HOTEL AND TOURIST SPACE

Abstract

Purpose. Conduct a meaningful examination of services for people with disabilities in the modern economic space ("Mobile Angels").


Methodology. The following methods were used for the study: comparison, generalization, specification, classification, synthesis and analysis, modeling.


Findings. A wide range of problems in the development of tourism for people with disabilities indicates the need for increased and comprehensive attention from the state and society. The considered legal aspects of the formation and development of a barrier-free space showed that the legislation of Ukraine needs decisive changes.


The creation of conditions for ensuring the availability of tourist services is one of the first places in the system of strategic goals of tourism development in many countries. In this regard, researchers are increasingly considering theoretical and methodological problems in the field of services for people with disabilities. However, for the adaptation of people with disabilities, there is insufficiently developed infrastructure in the regions of the country and an imperfect system of transport services for tourists, which causes significant barriers in the consumption of tourist services. These factors become an obstacle to the rapid rise and spread of the tourist image of the country's regions from the point of view of use by people with disabilities (hereinafter referred to as "Mobile Angels"), thereby negatively affecting the increase in the flow of tourists to the country. Therefore, today, the urgent task of the tourism business sphere is to draw the attention of Mobile Angels to the full consumption of tourism services. People with disabilities have the same right to rest and the same interest in tourist services as others, only because of their physical condition they need a more careful approach to its organization. Of particular importance is the practice of organizing and holding such events, for which Ukraine as a whole has a significant tourist potential, highly qualified tour guides are available, and the low level of specialized infrastructure is suitable for this category of potential tourists.


The article reveals a meaningful characteristic of the examination of services for people with disabilities ("Mobile Angels"); analyzed hotel rooms using the example of an accessible room for people with disabilities; an assessment of the accessibility of hotel facilities for people with disabilities ("Mobile Angels"); a strategy for organizing accessible travel for people with disabilities was formed; measures to organize services for people with disabilities are proposed. The idea for the Wheelmap project was born when several friends got tired of driving to the same place just because there was an on-ramp. The interactive map works according to the principle of an open database - it can be added and changed by everyone. Most objects and important objects are marked on the city plan - the user only needs to mark them, thus reporting the presence or inaccessibility of people in wheelchairs. Any object can be assigned one of three colors: green - fully equipped place for the less mobile (ramp, elevator, large rooms, special toilet), yellow - partially adapted and may require external assistance and red - disabled people are not allowed in this place. The project uses the free Open Street Map.


Originality. The creation of conditions for ensuring the availability of hotel services through the system: Wheelmap, organization of a garden plot (flowerbed) Terraform for people with disabilities at hotel facilities is justified.


The practical value. Based on observations and research of facts, it can be said that the interactive map works on the principle of an open database - it can be added and changed by anyone. Most of the objects and important objects are marked on the city plan - the user only needs to mark them, thus informing about the presence or unavailability of people in wheelchairs.
